Divulgação de Informação na Internet sobre Responsabilidade Social – Evidência Empírica nos Municípios Portugueses

Resumo


O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar as práticas e nível de divulgação on-line de informação sobre responsabilidade social nos municípios portugueses. Procedeu-se à análise do conteúdo dos websites de 60 municípios portugueses que constituem a amostra.  Foi construído um índice de divulgação de informação que varia entre 0 e 1, permitindo assim analisar o grau de divulgação global de cada município e de cada categoria de informação individualmente (informação genérica, económica, social e ambiental).

Os resultados obtidos indicam que o valor médio do índice de divulgação total observado foi de 0,46. A categoria de informação económica foi a que apresentou um maior índice de divulgação (com 0,66) seguindo-se as categorias de informação social e ambiental (0,61 e 0,36, respetivamente). Verificamos que os municípios de maior tamanho, localizados no litoral, caraterizados como urbanos, que implementam a Agenda 21 Local e onde existe competição política, são aqueles que tendem a apresentar maiores níveis de divulgação.
